For Our Annual CITYWIDE Event
Imagine, ABQ day happens annually on the last Saturday of each Semtember. Each year we partner with local organizations, communities, and everyone in out city to imagive a better Albuqueque together! We gather folks to pick up trash in their communities and create a more beautiful space for all who live here.

What is Imagine, ABQ?
Imagine, ABQ is a community-driven movement aimed at transforming Albuquerque through volunteer efforts. Started by local residents passionate about restoring the beauty and pride of our city, this initiative has grown into a citywide effort. Our projects include neighborhood clean-ups, mural installations, and yard makeovers—bringing people together to create lasting change.
How We Started
Humble Beginnings To Citywide Impact
Imagine, ABQ started with a vision from David Meyers, a local Albuquerque Fire Department chaplain and Larry “Lencho” Espinoza, who believed that a united community could transform our city. What began as a small initiative has grown into a full-fledged movement, now supported by 11 board members and recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
Our mission has expanded beyond annual events to include ongoing beautification efforts, such as murals, pathways, and overlooked spaces. We’re not just cleaning up—we’re building a culture of pride and responsibility.
